John Stanley "Stan" Maguire, Jr., 76, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021.

Stan is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Chance Maguire (Anissa) and Kent Maguire (Cindy); and grandchildren, Zane Maguire, Lex Maguire, Finn Maguire, Madison Maguire and Beau Maguire. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Maguire.

Stan was loved by everyone who knew him. He attended St. Xavier High School and the University of Kentucky. He was Vice President and Trustee of Woodhaven Country Club.

When Stan walked into a room, it lit up. He was an amusing person and was fond of golf, playing cards and spending time with Woodhaven Members. Every day, he made people laugh. He helped people see the bright side of life. He was a wonderful storyteller who captivated listeners with his colorful tales and experiences. Stan said that if an angel reached out to him, he was going to grab on!

A celebration of his extraordinary life will be announced at a later date.
