Beulah Bernice Sparrow, age 83, long-time resident of Louisville, Kentucky passed away from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Bedford, Indiana.

She was born in Ashland, Kentucky to Charles and Dorothy Pack. Bernice spent her preteen and teenage years at Spring Meadows Children's Home. She graduated from Eastern High School in Louisville and married her high school sweetheart, Jesse Sparrow. They had three children together, Deborah, Belinda, and Jay. During her working career, Bernice worked at the Southern Baptist Convention offices, the Jefferson County School System, Neptune Meters, and Duncan Wallcoverings. She was a consummate homemaker, masterful decorator, and had a passion for keeping everything spotless and in order.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Pack; siblings, Connie Pack and Douglas Winkler; daughter, Belinda Hammer; sisters-in-law, Julia Wiley and Martha Sparrow; and brother-in-law, Edward Sparrow.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse; daughter, Deborah (Bruce); son, Jay (Susan); grandchildren, Gabriel (Alyson), Caleb, Tuesday (Terry), Osula, Sheila (Joel), Jessica (Michael), and Philip (Stephanie); eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and brother-in-law, Norman.

Graveside service is 11am Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Floydsburg Cemetery, 5600 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation is 10am – 8pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
