Wilma
Talerico
December 8, 2024
Wilma Virginia Talerico, cherished mother and Grandmother/Nonni, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024. Born on March 31, 1932, she was known for her unconditional love and strength. She was an important role model for her seven children, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Her legacy stretches among many generations and will continue to impact many more to come.
She is joined in heaven by so many adoring family members including her husband, John Joseph Talerico Sr., her beautiful daughter ,Deborah Lynn Wetherholt (Gary), her grandsons, Stephen Turnes and Thomas Reynolds Kamm, Jr., her son-in-law, Mathew Caudle, her sister, Frances Rosanno, along with many other loved ones.
Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her children, John Joseph Talerico, Jr. (Terry), Angela Talerico, Maria Broyles (Larry), Anna Ward (Bill), Roberta Baete (Barry) and Aimee Caudle. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved her and were loved by her beyond words. She is also survived by her brother, William Abruzzino (Becky).
If you asked our mother what her dreams and aspirations were, she would always respond that "she just wanted to be a good mother". She certainly achieved her dream. She taught us how to be great parents and that teaching has clearly filtered down to her grandchildren, who many are now amazing parents to her great grandchildren.
We invite you to join us in celebration of a precious life. Visitation is Sunday, December 15th from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, with a funeral service immediately following. All services will take place at Fern Creek Funeral Home located at 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mass of the Air.
Thank you Mom, Grandma, Nonni for your vision of raising a family full of faith, love and laughter. We will forever cherish you and honor your gift to everyone whose life you touched. Rest in peace.
