Wilma Magdelene McCombs, went home to heaven on June 4, 2024, in Louisville, KY, at the age of 67. She was born on April 5, 1957, in Bowling Green, KY. Wilma graduated from Western High School in Louisville, KY in 1976 and was a faithful, dedicated employee at Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY for 44 years.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Loren McCombs and Eugenia June McCombs, brother Daryl Dwight McCombs and sisters Lorelei Patricia June Hoagland and Brenda Gaye Ensey.
Wilma is survived by her loving companion, Dennis Gale Ballenger; her sisters ,Cherie Loren Dorsey and Judy Kaye Van Wormer (James); brothers, Wayne Sheldon McCombs (Glenda), Michael Thomas and Jerry Thomas; nieces, Pamela Loren Chesser, Sandra Lee Grisham (Joel), Rachel Lynn Parker (Jeremy); nephews, Roger Hoagland Jr., Jeremiah Hoagland, Isaiah Hoagland, and Joseph Hoagland; several great nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew; and Abby, her cat of 18 years.
A Memorial Service in honor of Wilma will be held at the Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291, on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
