William McKinley "Bill" Trent, Jr., 88, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

He was born September 21, 1935 in Gretna, Virginia, son of William M. and Gracie Rowland Trent.  Bill was a retired air traffic controller, an Army veteran, a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and received a Commission as a  Kentucky Colonel.  He attended Brigham Young University and the University of Tennessee.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Trent; and sisters, Delma Trent Chumley, Juanita Trent Tribble and Virginia Seal Trent.

He is survived by his son, William M. "Bill" Trent, III (Melissa); daughter, Mardi Palmer Redden; grandchildren, Maddie Mae Sullivan (Killian), Amanda Trent and William M. "McKinley" Trent, IV; great grandchildren, Adalyn Sullivan and Nixon Barr; and sisters, Christine Trent Puckett, Nancy Trent Wyatt and Shelby Trent Buffington.

His funeral is 12pm Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 1310 E. Burnett Ave., Louisville, KY  40217.
