Obituary

William Greyson Jones was born on June 1st, 2019 with quite the dramatic entrance. He quickly became the light of all of our eyes! It is difficult to put into words how amazing he was. William had eyes as blue as the sky and a smile that could brighten any day. His giggles were contagious and his eyelashes made any woman jealous. His name was the perfect choice because he had an iron will. Will was diagnosed with Fox G1 syndrome just after his 1st birthday. They told us he may never crawl, walk, eat on his own or communicate. But with his iron Will, he overcame all of those obstacles with the help of loving family, friends, teachers and therapists. He did all of those things and more. He learned to crawl which turned into hopping. Hopping turned into standing and walking. Walking into climbing. He even ran to his mom in excitement one day when she picked him up from daycare. He was into EVERYTHING! He absolutely loved water, music, lights, strings, string instruments, singing and dancing. Riding in the stroller or wagon with the wind on his face or riding in the hiking backpack for family hikes while he pulled his mom's hair. After dinner time, he loved singing his favorite song  "wheels on the bus" with mommy's hand motions. He would always grab her hands for more. Then, he would anxiously await for his daddy to take him to his favorite spot, the shower! Will also loved riding on his daddy's shoulders while his hair tickled his face and belly. Will began saying "Mama, Dada, and NeNe" recently. He was also picking the songs for his class and therapists to sing or dance to. William had a unique relationship with each of his siblings. He loved riding on David's shoulders while he ran around and sitting next to him on the couch watching him play his games. Ava was a second mommy to him in her own way-snuggling with him, playing the guitar for him, singing to him, getting him bottles and putting his favorite shows on the TV. Nolan always made him laugh just being his crazy, goofy self. William looked to Alex as his closest playmate-always wanting to get down on the floor and play with him or splash in water with him. William was such a gift to everyone that encountered him and everyone who did, felt blessed to have met or to have known him. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. We can't wait to see you again in Heaven one day, our precious boy!
