Wilbur "Butch" Smith, Jr., 67, died Saturday, September 7, 2024.

He was born September 13, 1956 in Amityville, NY, son of Wilbur, Sr. and Marguerite Best Smith.

Butch was  the type of man who never met a stranger.  He was witty, considerate of others and enjoyed life. He was warehouse manager for Grand Circuit and also worked at TK's Pub in Fern Creek.  He was a member of Highview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Yolanda DeFreese Smith; children, Sean Smith (Laura) and Christopher Smith; grandchildren; great grandchldren; nephews, Omar Voliton and Travis Hawkins; niece, Regene Jones; many more family members and friends; and man's best friend, Tyga Smith

His funeral is 12pm Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 10am until the time of the service.
