Vernon H. Hodges passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at U of L Health Mary and Elizabeth Hospital after a brief illness.

Vernon was born September 4, 1959 in Louisville and lived the majority of his life there and graduated from Southern High School. He also lived for several years in Westerville, Ohio. He enjoyed playing in competitive billiard tournaments across the United States.

Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Howard D. Hodges; and mother, Louise Hodges Cooper.

He is survived by sisters, Donna Hodges Dunaway (Gary) of Naples, Florida; and Sandra Hodges Angat (Bob) of  Williams, Arizona. He also leaves behind nieces, Carrie Dunaway, Tiffanie Ladin, Sally Young, and Christiana Cardellio; and nephew, Jeremiah Cardellio that share in the loss of their Uncle Vernon.

As an organ donor Vernon gifted the promise of sight to a person in need.

His ashes will be interred with his father at 10:00CST Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Memory Park Cemetery in Bonnieville, KY.
