Vera Annice Prater, 74, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

She was born January 2, 1950, daughter of Andrew and Annabel Burnett Yaden.  Vera was a teacher and retired from Fern Creek Elementary School.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a past recipient of the Louisville area Excell Award.

In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her sisters, Anita Thompson and Doris Manno.

She is survived by her children, Brooke Morrow (Delane), Jenny Prater and Greg Prater (Kurstey); grandchildren, William and Kaylee Jackson, Sydney and Annabelle Prater and Mayson and Markus Morrow; a great grandchild, Adonis King Jackson, expected to arrive in April; and sisters, Diane Wise (Lonnie) and Andrea Yaden.

Memorial visitation is 2-7pm Friday, March 22, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
