Valeriy Klinberg, 66, of Louisville, died Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

He was born August 14, 1960, in Donets'k, Ukraine, to Naum Klinberg and Valentina Ryabina.

He came to the United States in 1994 and made his home in Louisville. An artist, he was best known for etchings and portraits on headstones as well as sculptures, many of which can be found on memorials and monuments throughout the region. He loved a good deal and a good meal. He loved his family, especially his grandson. 

He is survived by his wife, Nina Litvinova; sons, Aleksandr Litvinov (Meredith Hill) and Michael Klinberg; grandson, Leo Litvinov; sister, Inna Marnhout; nephew, Konstantin Dzhishkaryani; and father-in-law, Anatoliy Litvinov.
