Travis Wayne Bailey, 26, died Saturday, December 24, 2022.

He was born March 22, 1996 in Louisville, KY. He attended Bates Elementary and Moore Middle School and graduated in 2017 from Fern Creek High School, where he was called the "Mayor of Fern Creek." He was elected Homecoming King and was loved by all. Travis was a member of Southeast Christian Church, where he took great pride in volunteering in the Shine Café and singing with the Hope Praise Team. Travis loved the color red and was a big fan of the Louisville Cardinals. He enjoyed hugs, video chatting with his friends, collecting magnets and foam fingers, playing video games, roughhousing with his dad, going to the lake with his family, traveling, and making new friends.

He was proceeded in death by grandparents, Coleman & Juanita Shepherd, and David W Bailey, Sr.; and uncles, David Halcomb and Don Bolling.

He is survived by his parents, David W. Bailey, Jr. and Donna S. Bailey; grandmothers: Virginia Bailey and Shirley Bailey; uncles, Wes Bailey (Myra), James W. Bailey (Michelle) and Brandon Burke (Natasha); aunts: Nancy Halcomb, LouAnn Bolling and Heather Murphy; great-uncle, Joe Bailey (Ruth); cousins: Christie Henson (David), Beth Henson, Coleman Henson, Tracey Stidham, Sydney Stidham, Amber Bailey, Caleb Bailey (Leah), Madison Hensley (Tyler), Tyson Hensley, Mark Bolling (Melissa), Kasey Murphy Reagan Murphy, Hunter Burke and Savannah Burke; special best buddy, who is like a brother, Hunter Mills (Beverly); and  many other family members and friends that love him.

Travis's life was short, but he truly lived and loved each day to the fullest with meaning and purpose. If Travis hugged you, there was no doubt you had been embraced and were loved. He gave the BEST hugs. He was full of God's love and light. He made the world a better place to be.

His funeral is 4:00pm Friday, December 30, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd. Visitation is after 12:00pm until the time of the service.
