Tony DeMasters, 71, passed away on October 6, 2026.
Born Michael Anthony DeMasters on April 2, 1955, he was the son of William Lee and Eula Mae Sloan DeMasters.
Tony lived a full and meaningful life centered on faith, family, and love. A retired electrical engineer, he enjoyed staying active and worked part-time at Lowe’s in retirement. He was also a member of Southeast Christian Church, where his faith remained an important foundation throughout his life. Above all, Tony was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He treasured the milestones and celebrations, but found just as much happiness in life's simple moments: being together, sharing laughter, telling stories, and enjoying one another's company.
Tony truly lived life to the fullest. He appreciated each day, loved his family wholeheartedly, and embraced every opportunity to make memories with those he loved. His life was a beautiful reminder that a life well lived is measured not simply in years, but in the love given, the memories created, and the lives touched along the way.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Owen DeMasters; daughters, Dana Midkiff (Travis) and Tiffany Roach (Josh); grandchildren, Devin, Tyler, and Eden Midkiff; and siblings, Pam Lee, Darrell DeMasters (Linda), and Renee Price (Todd).
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved siblings, Steven DeMasters and Sharon Kieta.
While Tony will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is reunited with loved ones who passed before him. Tony's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, through the stories they share, the memories they cherish, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026 and from 10 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026 until the time of the funeral service at 12pm. All services will be held at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the International Essential Tremor Foundation in Tony's memory.
