Tammy Short, 62, died Sunday, April 24, 2022 due to complications following a double lung transplant.

She was born Tamara Marie Swope on October 4, 1959, daughter of Eugene and Patricia Whelan Swope.  Tammy worked in credit card sales.  She was a member of Lifebridge Christian Church and a chapter leader for the Alpha One Antitrypsin Deficiency Foundation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Swope, Jr., Brenda Swope and Donald Swope.

She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Worrall (Brandon) and Amanda Sowards; fiance, Steve Crenshaw; grandchildren, Chelsey Caswell (Shi), Victoria Worrall, Brandon Worrall, and Memphis Sowards; and siblings, Linda Neal (Gary), Pamela Cooley, Patricia Cox and Kathleen Brooks (Tony).

Her funeral is 10am Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation is 12-8pm Friday, April 29, 2022 and after 9am Saturday until the time of the service.
