Sharon Dunlap, 78, died Thursday, August 22, 2024.

She was born Alice Sharon Lewis on October 24, 1945, daughter of Clarence and Eleanor Fegenbush Lewis.  Sharon was a retired elementary school teacher.  She taught 1st and 2nd grade at Smyrna Elementary for 35 years.  She was a graduate of Fern Creek High School and the University of Kentucky and a member of Southeast Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Dunlap; and brother, Randall Lewis.

Survivors include her daughter, Betsy Dunlap Philpott (Beau); son, Damon Todd Dunlap; and grandchildren, Hannah Wessel (Ike), Evan Philpott and Harper Philpott.

Funeral service is 9am Friday, August 30, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday.
