Sandra H. "Big Sandy" Deboer , 84, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024.

She was born January 30, 1940 in St. Petersburg, Florida  and graduated in 1958 from Tarpon Springs (FL) High School.

Big Sandy worked in the bar and restaurant business for over 50 years: Riney's, Pub Steak House, Garland Flaherty's, Smugglers Restaurant, Toy Tiger, Peter Outlaw's, Jock Sports Bar where she worked for 22 years, and Elks Lodge #8. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Elks Lodge #8.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly A. Bell (Michael Sherley); son, Ernest E. Hysell (Judy Wilkins); grandson, Justin M. Eaton; and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 5:30pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Elk Lodge #8, 2824 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY  40218.
