Rosalind Bacon Jones, 84, died Thursday, June 20, 2024.

She was born December 16, 1939 in Hopkinsville, KY, a daughter of Cuttie and Erma Baker Bacon.

Rosalind was a retired driver for TARC and a seamstress. She was a graduate of Central High School and a faithful member of Zoe Christian Fellowship.  She was an amazing cook, especially known for corn fritters and greens!

In addition to her parents, Rosalind was preceded in death by her daughter, Alvah Rita Duerson; brothers, Donald and Perry Bacon; and brother-in-law, Dr. Victor McKinney.

She is survived by children, Verrell Smith (Terry), Kenneth Jones, Kevin Jones (Felicia), Olivia Jones Sowell (Terral), Melvina Jones and Kelly Jones (Rhonda); son-in-law, Donald Duerson; grandchildren, Rosalind Thompson, Keith O'Neal, Kevin Jones, David Jones, Reyona Gill, Brittany Jones, Thomas Taylor, William Taylor, Kharidad Jones, Kai Jones, Kelli Jones, Ashley Jones, Terral Sowell, Jr and Tressica Robinson; 26 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Fields, Cuttie Bacon II, Ernestine McKinney, Bradley Bacon (Benolia) and O'Leary Bacon; sisters-in-law, Paula Bacon and Kathy Bacon; and dear friend of 71 years, Pauline Jenkins.

A memorial service honoring Rosalind is at 12pm Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
