Ronnie Paul McCracken, Sr., 76, died Sunday, July 5, 2026. He was born to the late Luther and Pauline McCracken. Ronnie enjoyed working in the construction industry and that was his passion for 40+years. He once had a customer say that as long as Ronnie had a cigarette, a phone and a pile of dirt to kick, he could get the problem resolved.Ronnie retired from Kelley Construction after many years. After that, he went to work for Air Hydro Power in the Sales Department. He also retired from AHP after a couple of years. After he retired, he said he didn’t know how he ever had time to work because he was so busy in retirement!Ronnie enjoyed riding his Harley whenever possible. He also had a 72 Chevelle SS and won several trophies at car shows.He loved all his four-legged pets over the years Chauncey, Zoey, Zander, Macie, and Maxx.Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Paul McCracken, Jr; and siblings, James Banks, Robert Banks, and Connie Kinnaird.He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Denise (Deena Roberts), mother-in-law Mary Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.His funeral is at 11am Monday, July 13 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, with burial in Crosswater Gardens. His visitation is 1-7pm Sunday and after 10am Monday until the time of the service.
