Ronald "Ron" Hensley was born September 20, 1961 and departed this earthly life on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the age of 61.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a construction foreman for many years.  He oversaw the completion of many large construction sites in KY and IN over the span of his 30 year career.

Ron was  a man of faith, a Christian, and friend to many people.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Hanover, IN.  Ron loved writing poetry, riding his Harley Davidson, camping and spending time in nature.

He will be forever missed.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hensley of Elizabethtown, KY; mother, Louise Hensley of Germany; and his brother, Dean Coleman.

He is survived by his son, Samuel Hensley; step-daughter, Kelly Wright (Chad); mother, Heidi Coleman; and sisters, Donna Fulp (Jimmy), Diana Barnette (Tim) and Cindy Hensley; and best friend, Richard "Dickie" Dean.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hensley, and his brother, Dean Coleman.

His funeral service is 10am Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is 2-8pm Friday. January 20, 2023 and after 9am on Saturday until the time of the service.  Burial will be private.
