Mr. Ronald Patterson Hastings, age 82, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, December 30 ^th , 2022.

Born October 24, 1940, in Steele, Missouri, he married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Jean Whistle on July 31, 1959. Retired, he spent his days with family and betting on those horses he loved. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church and had served in the communion ministry. He was more than a husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a friend! Ronnie will be remembered for his humor, and for his heart. He kept his eyes on God and was the type of person that if he said he'd add you to his prayer list, you could count on him praying for you even after prayers had been answered. He loved deeply – especially his wife and soulmate.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; parents, James Alfred and Thelma; sister, Joanne; daughter-in law, Vonda; and great-grandson, Roscoe.

Survivors include his sons; Pat Hastings (Pam) and Todd Hastings (LeAnn); grandchildren, Jessica Fourman (Josiah), TJ Hastings (Kristin), Lindsey Hastings (Brian), Jake Hastings (Maddie), and Lauren Hastings (Alex); and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way.

Memorial service is 5pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.  Visitation is after 2pm until the time of the service.
