Roberta Mattingly Vance, 83, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2025 in Pompano Beach, Florida, following a brief illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Hilton, who passed away in 2019.  Roberta was born and raised in Grayson County, Kentucky, and spent most of her life in Louisville.  She was a longtime member of Highview Baptist Church, and a retiree from the Jefferson County Public School System.  In 2013, she and Hilton moved to South Florida to live near, and help raise, their grandchildren.

Roberta will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kevin (Susan) of Lighthouse Point, Florida; beloved grandchildren, Ellen (16) and Lucas (13); sisters, Bonnie Rodriguez (Ray) of Seminole, Florida and Anita Coe (Norman) of Louisville; and brother, Russell Mattingly (Lois) of Grayson County, Kentucky.

Her funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will precede the funeral from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
