Rick
Fow
December 4, 2024
Richard "Rick" Wayne Fow, 67, a devoted husband, father, pop, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and kindness.
Rick dedicated much of his life to his faith, serving as a deacon and leading community groups at Highview Baptist Church for over 40 years. His kindness, wisdom, laughter and unwavering commitment to others were testaments of his character.
Professionally, Rick enjoyed a long and rewarding career in medical sales, working with several companies throughout his life. He found particular joy in his final role with Guerbet, where he retired in May 2022. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Rick held a deep passion for photography, especially of his grandchildren and beloved support companion, his dog, Lainey. Most recently, Rick also found a great love for supporting the mission of Gilda's Club Louisville, a cancer support community that brought him immense purpose and joy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mirisia Diane Fow; his children, Richard Eric Fow (Joy) and Nicholas Alan Fow (Amanda); and his cherished grandchildren, Nixon, Carolina, Blakely, and Maverick Fow. Rick also leaves behind his in-laws, Bobby and Arnetta Stubblefield, as well as his siblings, David Fow (Dori), Kathy Hughes (Mike), and Lisa Cease (Steve).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9 from 2pm to 7pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 1 pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial following at Crosswater Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the Fow family kindly requests donations be made to Gilda's Club Louisville in Rick's memory. Gilda's Club is dedicated to uplifting and supporting those impacted by cancer—a cause Rick held close to his heart.
Rick's life was a testament to love, faith, and generosity. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
