Richard Martin Bowers, 81, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

He was born January 6, 1943 in Butler County, Kentucky, son of John Ray and Flossie Miller Bowers.  Richard was a retired tech sergeant, United State Air Force.  He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and Gideon's International.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Nolley Bowers; children, Jenn (Tom Armstrong) Bowers, Rick (Sherry) Bowers and Greg (Missy) Bowers; grandchildren, Sarah Isaacs, Rachel Napier, Tara Whittmer, Shawna Black, Eric Bowers, Jules Beach, Jamie Bowers, Colin Walker, Kaitlyn Bowers, and Aren Bowers; 22 great grandchildren; and brother, Jeff Scanlon (Sandy).

His funeral is 2pm Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.  Visitation is 2-7pm Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the funeral home.
