Richard Leo Bernardi, 79, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022.  He was born to the late William H. and  Olive R. Bernardi on August 20, 1942, in Louisville, KY. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Sharon (Snyder) Bernardi, a sister Patricia " Pat Bernardi" Miller and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a great-great nephew. He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas J. Bernardi, and three nephews.

Richard was a 1960 graduate of Flaget High School. He was on the Apprentice Program at GE Appliance Park and took classes at the University of Louisville.  He held several supervisory positions in Building One and retired in January 1998. Richard attended St. Louis Bertrand Church and was a past-member of the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree). He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle every chance he could.

His funeral mass is 9:30am Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. 6 ^th St, Louisville, KY with burial in Calvary Cemetery. His visitation begins at 1pm on Wednesday concluding with a vigil and rosary service at 5pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY.
