Pearlene McGaughey, 96, died Friday, January 26, 2024.

She was born February 22, 1927 in Hart County, Kentucky, daughter of Thil Thad and Ida Missy Hester Logsdon.

Pearlene was a devoted homemaker, a 40 year member of Highview Baptist Church and formerly enjoyed bowling on the Senior Bowling League.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bob McGaughey.  The two of them were inseparable.

She is survived  by her devoted children, Jan Meacham (Billy), Larry Proffitt (Ruthie) and Phillip McGaughey (Rhoda); grandchildren, Allyson Meacham, Melissa Wheatley, Adam Meacham, Heather Martinez, Katie Brinner and Russell McGaughey; and nine great grandchildren.

Her funeral is 10am Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
