Obituary

Patrick Leffew, age 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 21, 2026, in the city where he was born, raised, and lived his life.

Patrick proudly served in the United States Army as an  Airborne Ranger before beginning a lifelong career at Ford Motor Company. His service, work ethic, and quiet strength defined much of who he was.

Later in life, Patrick found his greatest joy in being a Grandpa. "Grandpa Days" with his beloved grandbabies were the highlight of his world.

When he wasn't with his grandkids, Patrick could often be found riding his Harley, probably jamming to the Grateful Dead. Those who loved him can picture him now riding on, leaning into the wind, as he cruises through the mountains of heaven.

Patrick will be remembered for his handlebar mustache, his funny and easygoing personality, and an occasional cigar. He had a way of making people smile simply by being himself.

He is survived by his children: Samuel Leffew (Athena), Ashley Kempf (Tim), Kerianne Leffew (Kamran), and Morgan Zulkanycz (Jordan); and his cherished grandchildren: Jude, Everett, Dylan, Hazel, and Rose.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 1/29 from 3:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at Fern Creek Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 1/30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Stephen Martyr Catholic School.
