Obituary

Patricia Cecil,

1/7/31 – 1/24/23

Born in Loretto, Kentucky, a good country girl, she carried forward the hard working, entrepreneurial spirit of her father, who was the distiller at Burt Springs Distillery, and her mother, who owned and operated the Arista Theater in Lebanon. She had fond memories of playing with her brothers, Johnnie, Michael, and Hugo Hamilton at her grandmother Bickett's house, which still stands on Maker's Mark property.

After raising 3 children, she began a professional career of tax preparation, bookkeeping and real estate where she flourished with the help of her partner, Ed Sullivan. Despite that, her family was always first. She had an extremely adventurous spirit, traveled extensively, and was happy to laugh at herself, all while still having incredible strength, common sense and determination.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Hamilton; mother, Evelyn Bickett Hamilton; and brothers, Hugo and John. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Mike; brother, Michael Bruce; sons, Jerry (Mel), and Huck (Judy); daughter, Jan; and grandchildren, Lori, Roger and Debra.

She will be unimaginably missed.
