Norma Forrest, 88, died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at her home.

She was born Norma Glenn Nichols on February 3, 1935 in Yosemite, KY (Casey County), daughter of Maurice and Verna Williams Nichols.  Norma was retired from Naval Ordnance.  She was a 1953 graduate of Fern Creek High School and a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church.

Fondly remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Norma was especially appreciated for her exceptional culinary skills.  She loved tending her flower gardens and her favorite pastime was reading.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Forrest, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Schnell; sisters, Hazel Badgett and Pauline Ankeny; and brothers, Manford and Robert Nichols.

She is survived by children, Julie Clark (Bobby) and Ronald E. Forrest, Jr.; son-in-law, Mike Schnell (Laura); grandchildren, Diana Hagan (Derek), Chris Forrest, Stephanie Trabue, Jenny Harned, Erica Outlaw, Jeff Forrest (Erica) and Kristine Schnell; great grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Casey, Everett, Brody, Abbey, Anthony, Gracelyn, Eva, Josie, Hadley, Johnny and Maisilyn; sisters, Berdina Kelsey and Sue Morris; and brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Nichols.

Her funeral is 12pm Friday, September 29, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, September 28, 2023.
