Norma Jean Baker, 93, died Sunday, October 29, 2023.

She was born March 15, 1930 in Elmhurst, IL, daughter of James and Ethel Bland Petty.

Norma was a strong, witty, "cup always half-full" lady.  She enjoyed being at home and entertaining family, especially the grandchildren.  Bird watching and spending time with her pet dogs were favorite pass-times.

She is survived by children, Debbie Evans (Cary), Mark Baker, and Vicky Baker (Rob Johnsen); grandchildren, Rob Beahl (Priscilla), Randy Baker (Ansley), Eric Baker (Emma) and Jason Gandar (Anna); 10 great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter.

Her funeral is 6:30pm Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation is after 2pm Wednesday until  the time of the service.  Burial is 2pm Friday, November 3, 2023 in Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois.
