Obituary

Nollie (Hacker) Hensley Foreman, 90, a beloved educator and entrepreneur, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 22, 2024.  Nollie graduated from Clay County High School in 1952, laying the foundation for her lifelong dedication to education. She went on to earn a master's degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University, solidifying her commitment to excellence in teaching.

Throughout her career spanning over four decades, Nollie left an indelible mark as a teacher in Kentucky, impacting countless students with her passion for learning. Her dedication extended beyond the classroom, as she also ventured into entrepreneurship; owning and operating 11 different Merle Norman Cosmetics Studios.  Nollie's entrepreneurial spirit and love for beauty touched the lives of many in her community.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nollie's legacy is marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving mother to her children, Bobby, Dianne, and Mark, as well as a cherished stepmother to David and Craig.  Nollie was also a beloved sister, survived by Geneva, Ann and Betty while remembering with love her siblings Dorothy, Findley, Phyllis, Raymond, Nell, Chris, Donna, and Kathy, who preceded her in death. Nollie was also preceded in death by her infant son, Billie, her husband, Charlie, and her parents, Ben and Nannie.

Nollie's love extended to her grandchildren, Katie, Jay, Skyler, Charlie, and Susie, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Her kindness, generosity, resilience, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nollie Foreman's legacy of education, entrepreneurship, and family will continue to inspire generations to come.

Memorial visitation is 1-4pm Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.
