Nell Martin, 96, died Sunday, April 14, 2024.

She was born Ava Nell Jenkins on March 2, 1928 in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky, daughter of Lemuel and Alice Grayson Jenkins.

Nell was a retired clerk at the old Fernmoor Pharmacy, a founding member of Fern Creek Baptist Church and a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Martin and is survived by sons, Steve Martin (Janice) and Joe Martin; grandchildren, David (Anna) and Stephanie Martin; great granddaughter, Ayla Martin; and sister, Peggy Wise.

Her funeral is 2pm Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is after 11am Thursday until the time of the funeral.
