Naomi McCubbin, 91, died Thursday, August 22, 2024, surrounded by family.
She was born December 3,1932 in Hart County, Kentucky, daughter of Charles and Mary Jaggers Bennett.  Naomi was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.  She was a retired switchboard operator for the old Bacon's Department Store and a member of Highview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Grant (James), Kelli Pope (Steve); grandchildren, Kristy Eaton (Jason) and Amy Katzman; great grandchildren, Greenlee, Maris, and Esmae Eaton and Aly Ricks; sister, Doyce Stith; nieces Robin Sutherland, Rhonda Grigsby; and nephew, Jon Barry Dedman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 63 years, William L. McCubbin; daughter, Kim Katzman (Bill); granddaughter, Amanda Katzman; and sister, Imogene Dedman.
Naomi will be remembered for her sweet gentle spirit, kind heart, grace and deep unwavering faith.  She loved to play piano and entertain her friends.
Her funeral is 4pm Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY  40291.  Private burial. Visitation is after 12pm until the time of the service.
