Nannie “Nan” Greenwell, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. She was born January 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Thomas and Nettie (Stout) Greenwell.

Nannie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed a long career as an accountant at GE in Louisville, KY. Deeply active in her community, she spent many years volunteering at Norton Suburban Hospital and was a faithful member of Salem Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Josie Greenwell and Mary Mathis, and her devoted caregiver and friend, Rhonda Allen.

She leaves to cherish her memory her special cousins, Margaret Mason, Wes and Lisa, Piper, Karly, and Isla Oeswein as well as numerous other cousins and a host of beloved friends.

The family wishes to extend a special, heartfelt thank you to Nan’s caregivers for their tireless compassion, care, and support shown to Nan during her final years.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, with a private burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
