Nancy B. Humes, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

She was born April 2, 1939 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, daughter of Sam and Gertrude Weber Bigelow. Nancy was a graduate of Fern Creek High School.

She was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She loved baking for her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Humes ; and son, Stanley Humes.

Survivors include her devoted sons, Sam Humes (Traci) and Chet Humes (Joanna); and loving grandchildren, Sean, Lauren, Matthew and Brooke.

Graveside service is 1pm Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Chenoweth Run Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation is 9:30am – 12:30pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky followed by a procession to the cemetery.
