Miller Lee Jewell, Sr., 91, died Thursday, October 27, 2022.

He was born July 31, 1931, son of Walter Ledman, Sr. and Florence Elizabeth Miller Jewell.

Miller was a butcher and meat manager for A&P Grocery and various PicPac Markets, an army Veteran of the Korean War and attended Fairmount Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Jewell and is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Corbin Jewell; children, Sylvia Gibson (David)  and M. Lee Jewell, Jr. (Diane); brother, Allen Jewell (Joan); grandchildren, Jason Jewell (Rhonda), Stephanie Doyle (Matthew) and Shannon McCowan (Allen); and great grandchildren, A.J. McCowan, Kristopher McCowan, Madison Doyle and Paige Jewell.

His funeral is 12pm Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-7pm Wednesday and after 10am Thursday until the time of the funeral.
