Mildred Burks Abney, 89, died Thursday, June 9, 2022.

She was born May 6, 1933 in Park, KY, daughter of Price and Alma Thompson.  Mildred worked for many years as an aide at Wesley Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Russell; and son, Kevin Price Russell and is survived by her husband, Logan Abney; son, Michael Russell (Joan); and step son, Mike Abney (Jennifer).

Her funeral is 7pm Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial.  Visitation is after 3pm that afternoon until the time of the service.
