Michael David Smith, age 46 passed away on July 6th, 2022.

He was born to Robert and Carolyn Smith on January 29 ^th 1976. He was a Loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Left to cherish his memory is his father, Robert Smith, Step Mother, Marilyn Smith, Grandfather, MC Brown, Aunt, Diane Brown, Brother, Mark Smith, Sister, Michelle Stankey, Nieces, Maggie Gabr and Micaela Smith, Nephew, Caleb Stankey and Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Michael did not have any children of his own, so his nieces & nephew were his everything. As you can imagine he was the coolest uncle any child could have ever had. He always gave a big bang of a gift during their birthdays & made sure they never went empty handed when it came to holidays when times were tough. Mike graduated from Fairfield high school in 1994, after gradation he went to college at Northwood University in Michigan to pursue a business degree and graduated in 1998. Growing up he was a Star Wars fan and you would catch him in between a battle with his Star Wars figures and his sister's strawberry short cake toys as a favorite hobby you would find him playing a card game with friends & family or playing online gaming with his Xbox. If you know Mike, you know he lived & breathed his WHODEY?!! Cincinnati Bengals, but he also loved Ohio state. Another thing he loved was putting on a good show of fireworks. He always had to go bigger & better each year. Mike was a social butterfly, which made conversations never dull and filled with laughter, remember though he always would tell it like it is, never sugar coating anything. He was kind, caring, giving and thoughtful with a little bit of smartass in all that he did. Mike's absence in this brief life leaves a tremendous loss in the lives of family members and many dear friends. Blessed are those who knew him, his heart was full of stubbornness but also as pure as gold. Michael was greeted in heaven by his mother, Carolyn Smith, Grandmother Nobia brown &Alice Smith. Michael, we love you every day. And now we will miss you every day. Rest in peace until we meet again. There will be a celebration of life Sunday, September 4th, 2022, 2-4, 4'oclock service to honor him. The Celebration will be at Fern Creek Funeral home.at 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville Kentucky, 40291.
