Melissa Ann Richardson-Root, 47, died Saturday, March 12, 2022 at her home in Louisville, Kentucky.
She was a 1992 graduate of Lansdowne High School. She is survived by her mother Debra (dinky) Katich; Father, Melvin "Smokey" Minton; Siblings, Jackie and Michael; Husband, Charles "Chuck" Root; daughters, Morgan Root and Katie Sayre; sons, Jonathan Richardson, Henry Finn, and Philip Nelson; grandchildren, Claire, Arielle, Hunter, Owen; Her funeral is 7pm Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday, March 16.
