With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful Maya Heavenly Alazar, who was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on 11/11/24. She brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with her radiant smile, cheerful laugh and wide eyed wonder in the 7 months that we had with her. She made us better. Even though our hearts ache for her we know she rejoices in Heaven. Until we meet again, she will greatly missed.

Maya is survived by her parents, Alazar Teferi and Feven Kruer, and grandparents Jeremy and Yari Kruer, Brent and Meredith Graves, Mesfin Teferi, Mandefro Assefa; great grandparents, Garry and Denise Lawson, Kathy Kruer, Robin and Nan Kruer; uncles, Judah Kruer, Xavier, Andrew Graves and Yishak Teferi; and aunts, Jayden Kruer and Tsion Teferi.  She was proceeded in death by her grandmothers, Yehualashet Mahekebay  and Aynalem Derese.

Her funeral is 1pm Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY with burial in Penn Run Memorial Park.  Visitation is after 10am until the time of the service.
