Mary Jane Smith died peacefully Wednesday morning August 9, 2023, at 9 am.

She was a long-time resident of Louisville, KY, a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and the daughter of Joe M Smith and Jane Graham Smith. Ms. Smith played pivotal roles in several well-known food and beverage establishments during her long career in that industry.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammbre Smith, and grandsons, Gabe and Garrett Pigg, all of Miamisburg Ohio; sisters, Sheila K Collins (Richard S Citrin) of Pittsburgh PA, Maureen Ackley (Roman Bowden) of Valley View TX.; brother, Miles G Smith of Embudo, NM,; and cousins, Kevin J Collins of Joshua Tree, CA, Heather Eckart of Reno NV, and Adam Gusman, (Liz Lapon) of Sudbury, MA.

A celebration of her life is being held at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd. Visitation begins at 10am Friday, August 11, 2023 and concludes with a service at 12pm. Burial in Calvary Cemetery 1600 Newburg Rd. following the service.
