Mary Anne Satterly, 90, died Friday, June 19, 2026

She was born May 22, 1936 to the late Edward and Elenora Ratterman.

She was a graduate of the 1954 class of Fern Creek High School. She worked as a head nurse at various nursing homes and at the customer service desk at Walmart.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, John Dekker, the father of her children; second husband, Elwood Satterly; and brothers, Edward Frank, Paul Ratterman.

She is survived by her children, Richard M. Dekker (Janet), Tena Dekker, Theresa Dadisman (Gerald), Lisa Dekker (Richard); grandchildren, Krysten Dekker Johnson (Eric), Cydney Rosenthal (AJ), Rick Cook (Elizabeth), Abbey Smyth (Brian), Brooke Dekker Alegria (Nico); great grandchildren, Ella Johnson, Dylan Rosenthal, Harvey Smyth, Gene Smyth, Ezra Cook, Barrett Cook, Alida Cook and Caspian Alegria; sister, Betty Mattingly; and brother, John Ratterman

Her funeral service is 10am Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
