Mary Jean Phillips, 91, died Saturday, October 7, 2023.

She was born August 27, 1932 in Frankfort, KY, daughter of Beckham and Alice Snavely Snook.

Mary Jean had an amazing "green thumb" and owned Phillips Greenhouses. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Phillips; son, Danny Phillips; and grandson, Chris Outlaw.

She is survived by children, Larry Phillips (Bonnie), Sharon House (David), Jeff Phillips (Tami) and Kathy Patrick (Kevin); grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Juanita Renfro, Carol Ruble, Wanda Rutherford and James Snook.

Her funeral is 7pm Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.  Visitation is after 3pm until the time of the service.  Graveside service and burial is 1pm Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Lebanon Community Cemetery, 2101 Lebanon Road, Frankfort, KY.
