Marvin Ralph Bertrand, Sr., 88, died Friday, January 10, 2025.

He was born January 25, 1936, son of Louis John and Antoinette Schneider Bertrand.

Marvin was a retired supervisor for Phillip Morris Tobacco Company.  He was an Air Force Veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus and a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Louisville.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Bertrand; second wife, Patricia Bertrand; granddaughter, Courtney Bertrand; and stepchildren, Randie Caswell and Sonny Durham, Jr.

He is survived by his sons, Ralph (Sherri) and Michael (Ronda) Bertrand; grandchildren, Brent, Bailey and Thomas Bertrand and Emily Kiefer; great grandchildren, Adeline, Josie and Isabella Kiefer; stepsons and their families, David, Robert, and Roy (Tina) Durham.

His funeral is 10am Friday, January 17, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation is at church one hour prior to the mass.
