Martha Jo Watson, 89, died Friday, September 15, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born June 16, 1934 in Grayson County, Kentucky, daughter of Morton and Helen Oller Basham.  She was a member of Fern Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Watson; and daughter-in-law, Rita Watson.

She is survived by children, Phil Watson and Kim Herp (Tommy); granddaughter, Abby Herp; brother, George Basham (Teresa); cousins, including Bettye Anderson; nieces and nephews.

Her funeral is 11am Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Fern Creek Baptist Church, 5920 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Visitation is 3-8pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road and after 10am Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.
