Margaret Ethel League Martin,102, departed this world, Monday, June 13, 2022, to live for eternity in Heaven with her Lord & Savior after a short, rapid decline in her health.

She is survived by her sons; Dr. Larry Martin, Sr. (Pam) & Steve Martin (Maria); grandchildren Larrry Martin, Jr. (Meghan), Allison Martin Cecil (Tom), Stevie Martin, Matthew Martin (Nikki) & Christopher Sheffield; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Morris Martin in 1995 & her grandson, Adam Martin (Heather Norman) in 2007.

Margaret was born May 11, 1920 in Danville, KY to Walter Durham League & Cora Cox League. She was the 7th of 10 children. She married the love of her life, Leonard Morris Martin September 28, 1940 in Danville, KY. They moved to Louisville, KY shortly after their wedding where Margaret lived the rest of her life.

Margaret loved her family well. Her greatest joy was to be a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend. She was known as an excellent cook, loved gardening, had a wonderful sense of humor & a captivating smile. She was a long time member of Parkland Baptist Church.

Her funeral is 1pm Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private burial.  Visitation is after 11am Thursday until the time of the service.
