Lucille Gleitz Butler, age 97, died peacefully at her home, Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born to the late Herman and Clara Gleitz on October 4, 1927, in Lanesville, Indiana, where she grew up and attended high school. She has a brother who survives her, Eugene Gleitz, of Lanesville, and a sister who preceded her in death, Cecelia Gleitz Acton.
Lucy graduated from the KBH School of Nursing and was employed at Kentucky Baptist Hospital and later, Baptist Hospital East.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bardstown.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Butler, Sr and a daughter, Karen S. Butler, Lucy is survived by her children, Patricia Butler Schroer (Gregory), Robert E. Butler, II (Ann) and Timothy C. Butler (Kathy).
She has 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being provided by Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.  The funeral is 4pm Sunday, November 3, 2024.  Visitation is after 12pm until the time of the funeral.  Private interment.
