Lisa Dean (Raley) Banta, 59, born on September 23 ^rd , 1963, passed away on Friday, May 12 ^th , 2023.

She retired as an executive assistant from LG&E, where she made a host of friends who were very dear to her. She loved music and was always the first one on the dance floor, even when there wasn't a dance floor available. Many knew her as the life of the party and she never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Michael (Woody) Banta, who she was devotedly married to for 38 years; daughter, Kimberly Hayes; daughter-in-law, Julia Hayes; siblings, Deborah (Jeff) Sorrels, Linda Parks, Stanley (Barbara) Raley. Lisa was very close to her in-laws (Woody's brothers and sisters), and all her nieces and nephews, too. She is also survived by her beloved Shih Tzu, Brutus, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Harlan and Irene Raley; Woody's parents, Gene Banta and Elizabeth (Dexter) Hatfield; and brother-in-law Hansel Parks.

Lisa was a kind, loving, and devoted wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Fern Creek Funeral Home on Wednesday May 17 ^th , 2023, from 2 to 7 PM. A memorial service will be held Thursday May 18 ^th , 2023, at 11 AM, with visitation to precede the service between 9 and 11 AM.
