Linda Hawkins, 83, died Saturday, April 15, 2023.

She was born Linda Lois Thompson on March 6, 1940, daughter of Paul and Doris Metcalf Thompson.

Linda was retired executive director of Seven Counties Properties.  She was a 1957 graduate of Fern Creek High School and attended Milligan College.

Linda began her spiritual journey as a child at South Louisville Christian Church and after affirming her faith joined Newburg Christian Church.  She is currently a member of Southeast Christian Church.

Linda was looked upon as a saintly person by her siblings and all attest to her outstanding cooking skills.  In addition to spending time with her family, Linda enjoyed traveling.

Her husband, Donald M. Hawkins, preceded her in death.

She is survived by children, David Hawkins (Ann), Donna Broyles, Doug Hawkins (Ashlee) and Darren Hawkins; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings, Bonnie Euziere, Gordon Thompson (Sharon), David Thompson (Edie), Noel Thompson (Sue), Keith Thompson (Sharon), and Mark Thompson (Gretchen).

Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Louisville, Kentucky.  Graveside service is 2pm Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky
