Linda Lee Espy, 83, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

She was born December 26, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania, daughter of Carl and Doris Johnson Lantz.

Linda was a 1960 graduate of Fern Creek High School and member of Fern Creek United Methodist Church, where she formerly worked as secretary/treasurer. She has also held clerk positions for Prudential Insurance Company and Southern High School. Linda enjoyed quilting and was active in her church quilting group and she was a former member of the Board of Directors of Fern Creek/Highview Ministries.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Espy; daughter, Kae Mentzer (Matt); grandchildren, Ryan and Sophie Mentzer; brother, Fred Lantz (Brenda); and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral is 9am Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Fern Creek United Methodist Church, 6727 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291 with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7pm Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291.
