Linda Faye Dean, 77, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

She was a registered nurse at Baptist Hospital and retired from Baptist Hospital East.  She was a 1962 graduate of Old Kentucky Home High School and a 1965 graduate of the Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing.  After retirement, she volunteered at Baptist Hospital East.  She attended Fern Creek Baptist Church.

Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Scott and Jason Dean; parents, Marvin Sprigg and Viola Crady Sidebottom; and brother, Bobby Sidebottom.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel "Sam" L. Dean, Jr.; son, Danny Dean (Mary); grandchildren, Nathan and Samantha Dean; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Lee Roy Sidebottom (Annette), Brenda Morley and Michael Sidebottom (Jeanette).

Her funeral is 10am Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.  Visitation is 2-8pm Friday and after 9am Saturday.
