Lauraine H. Johns, age 75, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital- East in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Lackawanna, New York, on April 4, 1946, to the late George and Helen Stebbins. After the death of her parents, she was raised by Jack and Evelyn Keiffer.

Lauraine was preceded in death by her brother, John Lyba; her sister, Geraldine Lyba; her niece, Robyn Edwards.

She graduated from Frontier Central High School in Hamburg, New York in June of 1964. Lauraine married her high school sweetheart, Tom Johns on July 25, 1964. They were married for nearly 58 years. Together, they raised five children. Over the years, they selflessly opened their home to many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.

Lauraine's favorite past times were spending time with her grandchildren, playing bunco, watching soap operas, and sewing.

She is survived by husband, Thomas (Tom) P. Johns; her mother, Evelyn Keiffer; her brother Wayne Keiffer; her sisters, Christine Fininzio and Jackie Fliss; her children, Cheryl (Scott) Stilger, Laurie (Stephen) Foster, Thomas D. Johns, Kelly Smoot, and Crystal (Cambron) Meredith; 16 grandchildren, Heather Elder, Thomas W. Johns, David W. Johns, Lauren Smoot, Rachel Smolenski, Taylor Smoot, Zach Johns, Bradshaw Smoot, Timmy Smolenski, Abigal Smoot, Bryan Foster, Ashley Foster, Emma Johns, Parker Meredith, Lexi Robling, and Iris Meredith; two great-grandchildren, Rowan Carson and James Cox; and her beloved dog, Sunshine.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291.  A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation.
